In 2001, he conducted research and compiled the first-ever complete filmography and TV listing for actress Veronica Lake, which was featured in Peekaboo: The Story of Veronica Lake (St. Martin's Press) by his twin brother, Jeff Lenburg.
In 2000, Lenburg provided research for the book Larry the Stooge in the Middle (Last Gap) by Morris Moe Feinberg, the brother of Stooge Larry Fine.
Additionally, Lenburg was a contributing writer for Close Ups: The Movie Star Book (Workman Publishing, 1978), edited by Danny Peary. In this book, he assisted Charles Barton, director of nine classic Abbott and Costello comedy films, including the acclaimed Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948), in writing his reflections on the legendary comedy duo.
