In celebration of the anniversary of the publishing of The Three Stooges Scrapbook, author Greg Lenburg has created a special collection of free colorized Three Stooges photos which fans can download.

Next year (2025) will mark the 43rd anniversary of the publishing of Scrapbook, which is still considered to be the definitive book ever published on the iconic comedy team.

Co-authored by Moe's daughter, Joan Howard Maurer, and Greg's twin brother Jeff, Scrapbook was first published in 1982 by Citadel Press in hardcover and later in paperback.  The book, intended to be a companion to Moe's autobiography, Moe Howard and The Three Stooges (1977) also published by Citadel, was a runaway bestseller.

Over four decades later, Scrapbook has remained in print, with an updated edition, The Three Stooges Scrapbook - Updated Edition, published in 2012 in paperback by Chicago Review Press.

"Our intent, from the its conception, was to provide fans with the most complete Three Stooges book ever published," said Lenburg, in announcing the collection of photos he created. "The photo collection which I created is a way of saying thanks to fans who made Scrapbook such a tremendous success over the past decades. As I know the boys (the Stooges) would have agreed, without the fans, the team would not be as popular as ever today and neither would Scrapbook."

Compared to the original edition of Scrapbook, the updated edition covers the lives and careers of the Stooges like no other. It's jam packed with personal memories and historical facts, new findings and revelations and archived material from family collections as well as over 400 photographs and illustrations.

Meticulously researched and written, it includes the most comprehensive filmography ever compiled as well as nostalgic chapters about Stooges vintage merchandise, vintage comic books, the team's television appearances, their records, Stooges impersonators and fandom.

In addition to downloading the free photos, Lenburg strongly encourages fans to visit the official Three Stooges store, Shop Knuckleheads, for the latest in Stooges merchandise.
